Dear friends,
Dear travelers on the ships of letters, dreamers in a time weighed down by dust,
Dear those standing at the edges of meaning, holding onto the embers of questions in the darkness of ages...
It is with great pleasure that the editorial team of Tears of the Pen announces the release of its sixteenth issue, the April 2025 edition, comprising 337 pages in medium size, filled with everything that makes you believe that the word can still be a homeland, a sanctuary, and a battlefield.
This issue is not just an extension of the previous ones, but a new page added to the book of resistant ink.
We wrote this issue as if carving our names into stone that defies the storm, as if sowing the seeds of poems on barren fields, believing that the rain will one day reach them.
In April, when the flowers of the earth bloom, your magazine has opened the wounds of the soul, lifted the veils of deception from the face of truth, and questioned the world with a voice that knows no appeasement:
What is the worth of the pen if the homeland is silent? And what is the value of the letter if it bows to ignorance?
On the pages of this issue, you will listen to the roar of the poems as you listen to the heartbeat of your own hearts.
You will find that the articles do not soothe you, but awaken in you the unease of meaning, the stories do not recount events, but breathe life into the memory of pain, and the ideas do not extinguish questions, but ignite them like noble fires.
We did not write this issue to please market tastes, nor to beautify the mirror of the sultan, but because we are ashamed to remain silent when the word is flogged, poetry is judged, and truth is exiled.
We wrote because we believe that in a time when ink is feared more than bullets, the pen becomes the last noble battle we must fight until the last drop of light.
Dear readers,
Tears of the Pen is not just a literary project, but a cry of conscience, a homeland made of paper guarding your dreams when the winds threaten them.
It is an attempt to remain standing amidst the general collapse, to carry the banner of beauty and meaning in a world that is on the verge of forgetting them.
It teaches us together how to cry with dignity, and how to plant our tears on the cheek of paper to grow mornings with less pain and more hope.
Yes, we meet you again...
We open this issue for you as windows are opened to light, and hearts are opened to rain.
Perhaps every letter we wrote in it will be a rifle fired at tyranny, or a kiss on the forehead of freedom, or an alarm bell in a long night.
Be with us...
For the ink is still fighting, the meaning is still dreaming, and the word still hides in its quiver revolutions that have not yet been born.
May you remain faithful to meaning,
And may Tears of the Pen remain an eternal beacon,
And may the word remain a weapon that was neither sold nor bought.
With best regards,
The Editorial Team
